The Power of Positive Dog Training is one of the best books I've found for training a puppy or adult dog. Positive training rewards dogs for doing something right instead of punishing them for doing something wrong. How are they supposed to learn anything that way?
This book is geared toward the dog owner who wants to develop a relationship with their dog based on friendship and positive reinforcement, not fear and punishment. The book is full of instructive illustrations, including an easy-to-follow, step-by-step, six-week basic training program (with diary) guranteed to work for any dog.

Lawn Saver, and similar products like it, are an all-natural way to neutralize the pH of your dog's urine to prevent those horrible yellow spots of dead grass in your lawn. It is an indispensable product for me since I live in a townhouse development and I share my lawn with my neighbors. Why follow your dog around with a glass of water to dilute their pee when you can give them these tablets with their food? It really works great. I've been using it for over 10 years now. (Note that the product recommends 1 tablet per 20 lbs. of body weight. I've found that 2 tablets for my 65 lb. female dog work just fine. Start with that dose and work up if you still get spots.)
