Closter Animal Welfare Society (C.L.A.W.S.) NJ Cat and Dog Adoption

Closter Animal Welfare Society Inc. (CLAWS) was founded 40 years ago as Lost Pet Service, Inc.
CLAWS is not a shelter. We focus our time and efforts to rescue and foster abandoned or unwanted cats and dogs in the Bergen County, NJ area. With the help of a network of dedicated volunteers, we work to find the best permanent homes for these animals

OUR ADOPTABLES OF THE MONTH
CHIP is a 5 year old mixed breed. He is the sweetest and happiest dog. He loves people and loves to play in the grass and cuddle up and give hugs. He has been training with us and is now really great on a leash. He knows some basic commands and is very eager to learn. Although we dont think he will hurt them, he does like to chase cats so he should probably be in a home without them. He has gone through a tough time and would really love to finally be in his forever home.

Moo is about a year and half. She is spayed and UTD with shots. She is so sweet and loves human touch. She is very timid with other cats so would prefer to be the only cat in the house. She would make a great companion cat to a single person or older couple in a quiet home.
Coconut is a 3 1/2 year old pure bred maltese. He is neutered and UTD with shots. He is a great dog and will cuddle up with you and be your best buddy. He gets along well with female dogs better than male. He is little but very confident and has a bit of a devilish personality at times so he needs to be with someone willing to continue his behavior training. He should not be in a home with children or cats. Please give him a chance. He was abandoned by his owners and really needs to know that someone out there will love him for who he is.
Holly is a 2 year old calico. She is spayed and up to date with vaccines. She is very sweet and loves attention and she gets along with other cats.
